Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT four pole trailer wiring harness on a 2020 Ford Edge. Now this is specifically for the SE and SEL models. Now if you're adding a hitch to your Edge, it's definitely worth picking up four pole trailer wiring harness and that's essentially to keep you safe and legal while going down the road. Even if you don't plan on pulling a trailer, it's nice to have this in place, that way, if for whatever reason you may need to tow a small trailer while you're moving or whatever it may be, you'll have this ready to go and that's gonna give you your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights on your trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And as far as the installation goes, this one uses a factory style plug that goes into the back of the taillights. So there's really not, you don't have to be a wiring expert to get this done. more

Hey everyone, Ryan here at etrailer, today on our 2022 Ford Edge Titanium, we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT custom-fit vehicle wiring harness. Before we do that though, let's take a minute, check this out and make sure it's going to work for you. So, we actually have this kit on our vehicle right now and right off the bat what it's going to do is provide us with a four-way flat trailer connector. So if the wiring on your trailer looks something like this, what it's going to allow you to do is plug the trailer wiring in and get all those lighting signals sent back. So this is going to provide our trailer with the tail lights, turn signals as well as the brake lights. Adding a four-pole harness to the back of your Transit is gonna allow you to pull trailers that have four-pole wiring on it. Essentially what you want to do with it is you want to get the lighting signals from the back of your Transit to the back of your trailer. Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Ford Edge and we're gonna be taking a look at the CURT four-pole trailer wiring harness. Adding a four-pole trailer wiring harness to the back of your Edge, is gonna allow you to safely transfer the four-pole signals to your trailer. And that is going to be, the four-pole itself, is going to be a ground wire, your tail lights or your running lights, and then your stop and turns. So your left turn, right turn, and then combined signal to make your stop signal. This kit is gonna have a control module, which is designed to protect the vehicle's lights, as well as the trailer lights, if there are ever any problems on either one of them. more

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ford Transit T250 van and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Curt Four-pole Trailer Wiring Harness. Adding a four-pole trailer wiring harness to your van is gonna allow you to pull trailers with four poles on them. This wiring's gonna give you your stop and turn signals, your running lights, and then the last, the fourth pole is going to be your ground signal. If you need to pull trailers with seven poles on 'em, then you can pick up the ETBC7 kit. You'll still have to install this kit because the fourth pole will plug right into the ETBC7 and then you'll just have to run the last three wires, which would complete your seven pole in addition to your four pole. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Ford Transit T150- Video
Well neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Curt 4-Pole Trailer Wiring Harness on a 2016 Ford Transit T-150. Adding 4-pole trailer wiring harness to a Transit is a great idea if you have a hitch because if you ever plan on pulling a trailer, you're gonna need to get the lights sequence to be able to go to the lights on the trailer, and this is a great way to do it because it plugs in directly to your factory style plugs that you have on your taillight. And this one is module protected, meaning any back-feed that might occur from the trailer, it's not gonna harm anything on the vehicle. Not only is it module protected, but it also has an inline fuse, so you don't have to worry about any of that causing issue. Now as far as installation goes, this is pretty easy. You're gonna take your taillights out, and we're gonna be plugging 'em in there. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the CURT seven pole trailer wiring on a 2014 Ford Explorer. Now this is gonna be a great addition to adding a hitch to your vehicle, whether you have a trailer as a seven pole or if it needs a brake controller. This is gonna be the first step of that because you're gonna need that seven pull function that's gonna allow you to get a harness and brake controller installed super easy. Overall, this installation is pretty simple. It's using that factory plug, so really you should be able to knock this out in about 15 minutes or so. So as far as installation goes, I'm gonna walk you through all of those steps to make sure that you get yours installed. more

Transits are used for a bunch of different things and a lot of times for business people will be able to pull a trailer. So if you have a hitch on your T-350, it's very beneficial to pick up four pole trailer wiring harness and that way when you plug into your trailer, you'll have those light sequence headed to the lights on the trailer and that way you stay safe and legal. And this kit will plug in directly to your factory lights. You don't have to cut any major wires as far as the factory ones. Now, the trouble I found is the clips aren't exactly great. more

Curt 5th Wheel Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Ford F-150- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt custom in-bed wiring for fifth wheel and goosenecks on a 2017 Ford F150. If you have a gooseneck or fifth wheel, you have a seven pole from your trailer that you need to plug in and instead of draping it over your tailgate and trying to get into your factory seven way you can get this harness extension which plugs into your factory seven way and allows you to plug in in-bed making it nice and easy to have your plug right here. It's gonna keep that cable nice and protected in the bed as well. Super easy to do. You are gonna need to drill a hole and being that this is an aluminum bed, it's nice, they actually come with some zerk fittings that you're gonna put in there that will allow you to get this on your aluminum bed with no problem. It's not gonna cause any rust or corrosion long term. more

If these things get damaged, they're easier to replace than they are to repair. These are pretty common on your pickups like Chevy GMC. By adding a second seven-way connector to the rear bed of your vehicle instead of just on the hitch, you can easily hook up gooseneck and fifth wheel trailers 'cause oftentimes those bigger trailers won't reach the back to be able to plug into your rear connection. By placing it in the bed here, you can easily make that connection here without having to extend the wiring and worry about wires hanging out the back of your truck. And today we are installing the curt trailer wiring harness and this is gonna be a four pole on a 2018 Ford Fiesta St. Now this is gonna work on all your Fiesta models and this is a great easy way to plug in and have a trailer lights work. So not that you'll be towing a whole lot with the inch and a quarter hitch on here, but for your small trailers or even some of your accessories like your cargo carriers and even bike racks now have a light function that requires a four pole. So if you want those LED lights to work on that new bike rack or cargo carrier, or if you are pulling that small trailer, this is gonna be the ticket to be able to do that. more

Now this wiring harness is gonna give you the ability to have a four pole to attach to your trailer, and that's gonna give you lighting functions that include your running lights, your turn signals, as well as your brake signal. Now you can choose to actually have this mounted outside, a lot of times you can actually hook it on with the included dust cap onto the safety chain loop or our customer actually picked up a four pole bracket which we have here at etrailer to give it a nice clean look. Now this is going to be module protected, meaning any backfeed that you'd get from a trailer, it's not gonna go back and damage your lights. And that's the great part about this kit as well is it does plug into the factory style clips in your taillights, so there's really no cutting or splicing. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness here on our 2022 Ford Bronco Sport. So, a trailer wiring harness is gonna be one of the many things that we need in order to successfully tow trailer with our Ford Bronco Sport. Now, in addition to the trailer wiring harness, we're gonna need a trailer hitch and a ball mount/hitch ball, all of which are available here at etrailer. Hi there, Ford owners. On your 2019 Ford F350 Super Duty we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Bargman's in-bed wiring connector. And this is what our connector looks like when it's installed. It is mounted here in the bed of our truck which relocates a connector inside the bed. So that way for your gooseneck and 5th wheel trailers, you've got a much easier way to plug in your wiring, 'cause oftentimes on those trailers the wiring's not quite long enough to hang over the edge of the tailgate and plug into your bumper connector. This doesn't replace the bumper connector, that one's still there. more

Now the trailer wiring harness, basically what this does is this is gonna transmit the signals from our vehicle to our trailer so we can let other motorists out on the road know what signals we're gonna be making. A lot of times, some of our camper trailers, those large boxy trailers, actually block the taillight signals on the vehicle, therefore, we have to have a way transmit the signals to other motorists. But before we do that why don't we check it out and make sure that this is something that's gonna work for you. So with these Rangers being pretty capable trucks, you know a lot of people are gonna be out there doing some some relatively heavy towing with them. And the majority of these Rangers aren't going to come from the factory equipped with a seven way round type connector. But not really a big deal if your truck doesn't have one. more
